Barbara Greindl

Barbara Greindl was born into an artistic family. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, where she specialized in the restoration of old masterpieces, including works by Rubens and Rembrandt.

At the same time, her desire to create and bring her own visions to life continued to grow. Today, she creates vibrant, colorful sculptures, each with a playful artistic nod to society and the human condition. Barbara’s work is instantly recognizable by its distinct forms and colors, bursting with symbolism. Her cheerful-looking pieces offer a light-hearted satire of the food industry. The animals featured in her work each reveal how little we truly know about the origins and production of our food. Her creations incorporate real eggs, mussels, and beetle shells.
