Artist Doortje Ijpelaar grew up in a small village near Tilburg, where her love for art blossomed at a young age. Her passion for color and form initially found expression in paintings of flowers, which always inspired her with their vibrant colors and natural beauty.

More than twenty years ago, Ijpelaar discovered glass painting—a medium that allowed her to combine color, light, and form in a unique way. She began by designing and painting glass globe vases, which became an immediate success both in the Netherlands and abroad.

Ijpelaar’s work is characterized by her love for color and precision. Each piece is hand-painted and radiates her unique style: joyful, colorful, and refined.
