Plamen Dimitrov

Artist Plamen Dimitrov is a self-taught sculptor from Bulgaria who excels in the art of bronze casting. His sculptures, elegant and refined, are meticulously shaped using the lost-wax method—an ancient technique in which a wax model gradually makes way for molten bronze. It is a process that demands craftsmanship and patience, and it is precisely there that Dimitrov finds his strength.

His distinctive visual language consists of slender, abstracted figures that seem to capture light and movement. The polished surfaces and dark patina lend the works a quiet power. At the core lies the ongoing dialogue between humans and nature, a theme that subtly weaves through each piece.

Dimitrov began his artistic journey working with wood but ultimately found his voice in bronze. His sculptures appear airy, almost transparent, evoking stories of connection, of stillness, of life. Whether placed indoors or outdoors, they continue to speak to the viewer with a gentle softness that lingers long after.
